Pupils at Cleeves Primary School in Glasgow enjoyed a day in the sun when Fuel Zone staff organised a beach theme lunchtime for every child in the school.
The Fuel Zone was transformed into a beach paradise including inflatable palm trees and buckets and spades while a similarly themed soundtrack played featuring the Beach Boys and the Macarena.
On the menu was a selection of fresh fruits such as melon and pineapple while picnic boxes reflected the setting.
The beach day was led by catering manager Alison Humes and her team who all embraced the day in their shorts, t-shirts and sandals. It was arranged as a treat for the pupils before the end of term and also marked the opening of a new garden area on the premises.
With the sun shining, pupils were able to enjoy their picnic boxes and fruit in the great outdoors.
“The children loved it,” explained Alison. “We set up a limbo pole at the door so each child had to limbo into the Fuel Zone and, coupled with the beach music, this really got them into the spirit of the beach day.”
